This first appointment allows us to get to know your dog and understand what’s going.
We’ll take a full history, perform a detailed physical assessment, and begin treatment right away. You’ll receive a personalized home exercise program and guidance tailored to your dog’s condition and lifestyle.
The result? You feel less anxious and more empowered with a plan to help your dog feel better.
Follow-Up Sessions

For those seeking to initiate the rehabilitation process for their dog.
These sessions build on your dog’s progress. We’ll reassess movement, adjust their exercise plan, and provide hands-on treatment such as manual therapy, laser therapy, or targeted strengthening exercises.
The result? Continued improvement towards your goal!
All of our prices are inclusive meaning you don't pay extra depending on what happens in a session (i.e. laser therapy or manual therapy is not an additional charge).

We know that circumstances can change, especially when caring for a dog with mobility challenges.
If a package is not fully used, sessions are simply recalculated based on the closest completed package, and any remaining balance is refunded.

Pawsitively Fit uses Walkin’ Pets Wheelchairs
For dogs needing extra mobility support, we offer complete wheelchair fitting and setup. We’ll measure your dog accurately, guide you through product selection, and ensure the cart is properly adjusted for comfort and function.
This package does not include rehabilitation. If you are seeking a wheelchair AND rehabilitation, please seek an initial assessment.
Common Questions from Owners
Do I need a referral from my veterinarian?
The current legislation from the College of Veterinary Professionals of Ontario does not mandate the need for a referral to access canine physiotherapy. If we feel you should see your veterinarian before starting physio or if assessment reveals something that requires the attention of a vet, we will recommend that you see your vet. Many insurance companies require a veterinary referral for your claims to be approved and it is the owner's responsibility to determine the needs of their individual pet insurance plan.
How many sessions will my dog need?
This is determined from an assessment. Once your dog has been evaluated we can discuss a plan moving forward taking into account your goals, abilities and budget.
If I purchase a care package, do sessions expire?
No. You may use your purchase sessions right away or use them over the coming months or years. If a package is not fully used due to a pet passing or an owner moving, sessions are recalculated based on the closest completed package rate, and any remaining balance is refunded.
What payment methods do you accept?
Anything but a check! We accept cash, e-transfer, debit or credit card payments.
